Search terms. A name or location entered in a search box passes to the third-party provider that operates the tool. This site does not store or log those terms on its own systems.
Messages. An email or contact submission is retained as needed to answer it. The message is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Data
A page visit can produce routine logs such as an IP address, browser and version, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring page, and timestamps. Cookies help measure use. Browser controls can block cookies, although parts of the site may then work differently.
How Data Is Used
Information supports site operation and speed, routes a query to the correct search partner, identifies useful pages, helps diagnose faults, and may support interest-based advertising. These are operational uses and do not turn this private site into the custodian of Pickens County or South Carolina records.
Outside Sites and Advertising
Links lead to sheriff, corrections, court, release-record, and third-party search pages. The destination's privacy policy controls after a visitor leaves this site. Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads.
Who May Receive Data
Personal data is not sold. A limited disclosure may occur to a search partner processing a query, an analytics provider, an advertising network, or law enforcement and another public body acting under a valid legal order.

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used. No internet service can promise complete security or guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from a person under eighteen. A parent or guardian may request deletion if a minor submitted information.
